Membership fees are based on US dollars and are charged in US dollars or naira. The exchange rate of naira to US dollars is the official exchange rate on January 1 of that year. For example, the official exchange rate on January 1, 2019 is 307, and the membership fee standards for 2019 are as follows:

President’s Unit: USD 15,000, converted into Naira is 4,605,000 Naira;

Vice-President Unit: US$7,000, converted into Naira is 2,149,000 Naira;

Governing Unit: USD 3,500, converted into Naira is 1,074,500 Naira;

Membership unit: US$700, converted into Naira is 214,900 Naira;

Contact Business: No dues.

Enterprises that have registered with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria can directly join the membership after filling in the application form.

Chinese-funded enterprises or agencies operating in Nigeria can apply for membership, which will be reviewed by the secretariat. After the application is approved, they must pay the membership fee within one week before becoming a formal member.

Review conditions:

1/Chinese-funded enterprises, agencies or Sino-foreign joint ventures can join. Foreign-funded enterprises are not accepted to join as formal members. They can only fill in the form to become affiliated enterprises.

2/Enterprises engaged in legal business activities in Nigeria are allowed to join the association, while enterprises involved in illegal industries are prohibited from joining the association.

3/Enterprises on the enterprise blacklist of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission or the enterprise blacklist of the General Chamber of Commerce are prohibited from joining.

4/Enterprises with bad business records and reported during the review period are prohibited from joining the membership.

1/Member units of the General Chamber of Commerce can participate in the regional branches and industry branches established by the General Chamber of Commerce.

2/Member units of the General Chamber of Commerce can obtain various industry materials, Nigerian research materials, etc. for free.

3/In the exhibitions held by the General Chamber of Commerce every year, member units enjoy certain fee discounts and priority.

4/In the training activities held by the General Chamber of Commerce every year, member units can participate for free, and contact members can participate for a fee.

5/In the various sports events held by the General Chamber of Commerce every year, only member units are eligible to participate in the name of a group.

6/ Priority can be given to participate in various forums and cultural activities organized by the General Chamber of Commerce every year.

7/Member units of the General Chamber of Commerce can participate in the reception of high-profile visitors.

1/Cooperate with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy and the General Chamber of Commerce to jointly investigate the overall economic and trade situation of Nigeria and the situation of various industries.

2/Unite Chinese-funded enterprises to jointly develop overseas markets and create a good image of Chinese-funded enterprises in Nigeria.

3/Resolutely resist vicious competition and jointly purify and optimize the overseas market environment.

4/ Actively respond to various activities of the General Chamber of Commerce to enrich the overseas life of Chinese-funded enterprises.

5/Pay membership fees on time.

1/Contact companies: Companies that do not meet the membership requirements, or companies that do not want to pay membership fees, can fill out the application form to become a contact company. Contact companies do not need to pay membership fees. They can join the Chamber of Commerce's WeChat group, receive various notifications from the Chamber of Commerce, have access to read some materials, and participate in some activities of the Chamber of Commerce.

2/Member unit: After the application is approved, you must pay the membership fee within one week to become a formal member unit and enjoy membership rights.

3/Governing unit: Members of the General Chamber of Commerce can apply to the General Chamber of Commerce Council to become a governing unit after one year of membership. At the board of directors, the current governing unit will vote whether to agree to the application. If more than half of the members pass, they can become a governing unit. The General Chamber of Commerce will hold at least two council meetings every year. The governing units can participate in the board of directors and participate in various decision-making voting of the General Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the general membership meeting. Various activities have higher priority than member units.

4/Vice-President Unit: The Vice-President Unit is generated from the governing unit. After submitting the application, it will be voted by the Board of Directors. If more than half of the votes are passed, it can become the Vice-President Unit. The vice-president unit can serve as the president of the industry branch and the president of the regional branch.

5/President unit: The president unit is elected every three years and is elected from the vice-president unit.
